PROJECT OVERVIEW
Long Ridge completed the construction of its 485-megawatt power plant in Hannibal, Ohio in 2021. The plant is one of the most energy efficient power plants in the world. It delivers power into the PJM grid and provides long-term, low-cost energy to the region. The facility is compact, low-impact and significantly more advanced than earlier generations of natural gas plants.
In March 2022, the plant began blending hydrogen into its fuel mix, with a corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions. It was the first utility scale power plant in the U.S. to achieve this important milestone. The plant utilizes a GE 7HA.02 combustion turbine, which can burn between 15-20% hydrogen (by volume) initially, with the capability to transition to higher blend percentages over time.
Long Ridge can provide both onsite and offsite industrial energy users with low cost, long-term power under power purchase agreements. Please contact power@longridgenenergy.com for additional details.
